Slab: just the door, to hang in your existing frame. Door system (prehung): the door already hung in a new frame with the threshold, weatherstrip and hinges. If your frame is solid, square and dry, a slab is the economical choice. If the frame is rotted, out of square or leaking, get a door system.
In-stock items that need no shop work typically ship the same or next business day. Shop work starts once everything is in stock: 1 business day for trimming, cutting or prep, 1 to 3 for finishing and 2 to 5 for assembly.
All of our kits are listed by the outside dimensions of the plastic frame, not the glass. Measure your existing frame from outside edge to outside edge, both width and height; each size fits frames up to 1/2" smaller. Not sure? Text us a photo with a tape measure across the frame.
Stand inside, facing the door. Inswing doors are named for the knob side; outswing doors for the hinge side. We confirm handing on every door system before we build it.
